God's Presence in the Midst of
Mental & Physical Disability
|
|
Our sermons in the month of June focus on the gracious presence of God in the midst of human pain, despair, anger and other physical, mental and spiritual disabilities.
Sometimes the Scripture points to healing, sometimes not; sometimes there are happy endings with miraculous healing; sometimes not; but always God is present. Quite honestly, we often want more than God's presence, we want solutions, cures and restoration. Often we are theologically confused or uncertain of how to handle the difficult reality of a God who doesn't always seem to be present, or situations which are beyond cure. Sometimes, Christians simply remain silent, ignoring things and people they do not understand. This increases the pain and sharpens the burden of those in need.
So, in this series we will wrestle with our confusion, pain and brokenness. More importantly, we will seek to rest in the gracious and transforming presence of God. |

All Mine; All Yours |
|
"Your world is mine," says God. More remarkably, he tells us, "What's mine is yours." These truths are easier to believe than to live-out. Here at Brookside we invite you to be part of a body seeking to live out these truths. You will not find a perfect group, or perfect worship or perfect programs—you certainly will not find perfect people—but you will find a body of people striving to worship, care for one another and honor God. You are welcome to be our guest in worship, to become involved in our caring and supportive ministries or to become a member. So, you are invited to come along as together we live, worship and minister as a people who belong to God. |

Obedient Discipleship |
|
Welcome to Brookside Christian Reformed Church. You will find Brookside to be a place of obedience--albeit, imperfect obedience.
You are invited to walk together with us as we walk with Jesus. You will find that we sometimes stumble and even fall in our attempts to obediently walk with Jesus, but you will also find that our Savior forgives and helps us back on the road. We would love you to be a part of our obedient journey. |
