Welcome to the Construction Zone, where we are "Building Character Like Jesus"!
| |
| On Monday, we learned
that Jesus was built to come down. What does
that mean? -- It means that Jesus humbly came to earth to love and
serve others. We were challenged to find ways in which we, too,
can serve others and develop the characteristic of humility. |

| On Tuesday, we learned that
like Jesus, we are built to grow and saw how the
characteristic of obedience is important to our growth
in Christ. Today's story from Luke showed us how Jesus, even as a
boy, always obeyed His Father. We learned that we can grow, just like
Jesus, by obeying God's word, the Bible. |

| On Wednesday, our theme was
built to last. We learned about faithfulness
as we read the story of Jesus' temptation as found in Luke
4:1-13. We discovered that just as God was in control on Jesus' ministry
here on earth, so must God be in control in our lives. |

| On Thursday, we learned what
it means to be built to care while we talked about
the characteristic of compassion. We learned that
building thoughtful concern for others takes time and patience.
It is only through Jesus' love for us that we learn how to love and
care for others. |

| On Friday, we learned what
it meant to be built to restore. We will be building
on the characteristic of forgiveness. We learned
about Jesus' death on the cross and how we can be saved through His
sacrifice for us. |
