"Brookside facilities that honor God and empower ministries"

Brookside facilities are designed to serve diverse ministries of the church and to meet the needs of the community.  We seek to reach people for Christ and grow His church by using our facility for a wide variety of ministries.  The Facility Ministry is composed of "teams serving with one heart and mind and purpose to empower Brookside ministries and to maintain facilities that honor God."

Members work with the Administrator and Custodian in the care of all properties and buildings.  Opportunities for service are available in many areas, including:

OUTDOOR

• Care of Gardens--Join this team that cares for the flower gardens around church.  Serve on a team of two caring for the flowers for a few scheduled weeks each summer (Contact:  Nancy Zaagman)
• Landscaping Maintenance--Contact: Nick Heyboer)

INDOOR

• Cleaning of the Facility--Serve in a variety of areas caring for the church (windows, vents, glass, chairs, carpets, floors, and pews) (Contact:  Tom Visser)

• Building and Grounds Team--Plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, HVAC--General Construction and Maintenance--Are you wired for one of these trades?  Join and find satisfaction in helping to keep the facility in like-new condition.  Help on projects as needed or join the collaborative team effort one evening each month (Contact:  Gord DeYoung)

• Facility Setup and Takedown)--Assist behind the scenes to magically transform the facility for large church events, Bible Studies, Sunday education, and other ministries (Contact: Tom Visser)

• Interior Needs--Several members assist with decorating, placement of pictures and art needs for the facility
